See the full music lineup HERE.Book a farm and cider tour HERE. The Finger Lakes, some of the deepest on the continent, modulate winter temperatures while keeping things cool in the summers. That climate, combined with rich, fertile, well-drained soils, makes for one of the nation's great fruit-growing regions—for both grapes and apples. "The emotional connection to cider is something I wish people talked about more," Stoscheck said. I like to end my evenings with a house-made cider at Lake Drum Brewing, where the vibe is mellow hippie meets college bar. All great wine regions have a food scene to match, and in the Finger Lakes, it's centered in Geneva, at the tip of Seneca Lake.

Stay in touch with life at the Cider House

We started this farm to make this land a little better than when we got here. To make the soil a little deeper and the water a little cleaner. To these truly magical and invigorating cycles of the natural world.

Visit the Finger Lakes Cider House

The farm is not only USDA organic certified, but also Real Organic certified. Our ciders and lunch menu are available 7 days a week, year-round. We offer cider & wine flights and by the glass, along with an ever-growing selection of craft beers. Our farm-to-table lunch menu is seasonally rotating, with a focus on our pasture-raised BBQ.

I was sitting at a wooden table on the family farm and orchard of cider makers Autumn Stoscheck and Ezra Sherman. A half-dozen cider samples sat in front of me, along with some amazing cheese, bread, and—of course—an apple. We’re real people running a working farm, creating traditional ciders made from apples grown specifically for cider making. A wide range of acidic, tannic, and aromatic fruit ranging from European bittersweet apples, to heirlooms, and crab apples. Eve's is one of the nation's most established cider makers, producing dry, artisanal bottlings since 2001—about as old as contemporary craft cider gets in America. I tasted batches made from a single apple variety, such as Northern Spy; others were sourced from a single place, such as Albee Hill, a veritable cider grand cru.

VISIT

Here's where to fall in love with every glass—and the fabulous cider houses, meaderies, beer bars and breweries serving it—all year long. In the menu below you will find our current selection of cider, wine, locally crafted beer, seasonal cocktails made with local ingredients (including ingredients grown on the farm), and non-alcoholic drinks. In the Finger Lakes, cider starts in local orchards, with special apples grown with care.

In their tasting room, visitors enjoy artisan ciders and sparkling wines all produced by the Finger Lakes Cider House. The family-friendly establishment and grounds are open 7 days a week with a daily food menu offering local meats, cheeses, breads, and more. They source almost everything on their food menu from local farms, with some ingredients grown right on their organic farm, Good Life Farm. They have live music every Friday night and Sunday afternoon through the summer months; house made wood-fired pizza every Friday and Saturday; organic u-pick veggies, flowers, hemp, and apples to come. With Summer coming to an end and Autumn just around the corner, their sunflower patch is in full bloom and visitors may even spy a flock of young free-range turkeys roaming the grounds.

We specialize in champagne method cider and wine production and offer a farm-to-table-lunch menu, every day. On a hill in Interlaken with views of Cayuga Lake, the Finger Lakes Cider House has become a can't-miss destination for cider aficionados since it opened in 2014. On my most recent visit, a diverse crowd picked apples, played cornhole, and chatted over sourdough pizza and salads made with ingredients grown on-site.

Food & Drinks

In my book, I called the Finger Lakes the "Napa Valley of cider." But on this trip, I realized what's happening there is something unique—and that it's still emerging. For the Finger Lakes, it seems the time has finally arrived. Yet every time I've stopped by, I've seen visitors happily surprised by what they taste. "Our ciders are dry, have a lot of acidity, and they're funky," Reynolds told me. "People who come here looking for a sweet cider are going to be disappointed." In New York's Finger Lakes region, producers are taking a modern approach to one of the country’s oldest beverages—apple cider. And mainly, we just want to make ciders that taste absolutely freaking amazing.

In addition to apple, you’ll also find surprising flavors such as mango, wildflower, limoncello and pineapple. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional barrel-aged cider release party, and stop by every Friday for free pizza and movies screenings. The Finger Lakes — FLX — is among the most dynamic fruit-growing regions in the U.S., with special soils and a unique microclimate.

But while it is also America's most important dry-cider region, that fact is far less widely known. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to share the love of cider, food and farming with you. Here's your go-to guide for tracking down the best craft beer in the city, whether you're into trying a flight of beer at a brewery or splurging on an obscure bottle at a beer bar. For the most up-to-date hours and group policies, please visit the cideries' respective websites and social media pages. While each Finger Lakes cidery has its own style and creativity, there is a common purpose here, to make honest cider.

Cidermakers here, growing out of the greater Ithaca area, have agreed on a set of principles, committed to bottling with label transparency. The Finger Lakes Cider House is a small team of makers and big dreamers. Signing up for our Cider Club allows you to stay connected with us, get the best deals around, and stay in touch with the latest with life at the Cider House.

You've likely been apple picking, or bobbed for them, or eaten a candied one on a stick. Order a bite from an outstanding food popup, grab a seat in the beer garden, and enjoy whatever super fun (and most likely ridiculous) event we have going on. End your evening by the fire pits where you’ll likely make a new friend or two. In addition to the high quality cideries, Cornell University and Cornell Orchards have been conducting extensive cider apple research. You can choose between a steady stream of cider through the year with one of our Quarterly Cider Clubs (3 or 6 bottles/quarter). To pick up at the Cider House OR ship cider to your doorstep!
